In recent decades, rapid urbanisation has created cities often deprived of nature. Urban trees are critical infrastructure — they regulate temperatures, improve air quality, support mental health, increase biodiversity, and build community resilience. But they are chronically underfunded.
At the same time, public sector procurement requires suppliers to demonstrate social value in their bids. Nature-based social value is one of the most impactful ways to do this — but most suppliers lack the tools to create credible, delivery-backed strategies quickly.
Carbon Heroes connects these two realities. We make it easy for suppliers to generate defensible nature-based social value commitments, and we ensure those commitments translate into real trees in real places.

For local authorities
We connect council tree programmes with private sector social value funding. Councils and their partners deliver the trees. Carbon Heroes generates the demand, manages the registry, and handles impact reporting.
For cities
Every transaction on the Carbon Heroes platform funds real urban nature — trees planted, maintained, and tracked. We're building the infrastructure layer for procurement-driven climate finance.

Violette brings 20 years of experience spanning digital transformation, marketing, and sustainability. A qualified social value and SROI practitioner, Violette founded Carbon Heroes to build the infrastructure that turns procurement commitments into funded, verified urban nature.
Alex Kergall
Co-Founder & COO
Alex brings 15+ years of financial and operations leadership. A recognised executive coach and human capital expert, Alex co-founded Carbon Heroes, where he oversees operations, finance, and delivery — ensuring the platform scales with the same rigour he brought to his international professional services career.

Earthwatch manages a UK-wide programme of urban Tiny Forests, planted in small urban areas and recreating the natural structure of a forest in miniature using the Miyawaki Japanese method.
