Smallwood primary school

Overview

The proposed plot is located at Smallwood primary school, SW17 and is currently covered by grass. A social housing development and private housing overlook the land. The proposed area for the micro forest is 20 x 25 meters totalling 500 square meters.
A 2.0m wide pathway through the micro-forest so that children can access the area. A chestnut pale fence will be installed to the perimeter for the first 2 years to allow the forest to grow without risk from nearby recreation activities.

The project will have positive daily impact and will help restore equal access to nature among 262 multicultural children, 33% of pupils eligible for pupil premium (above national average), and 12% SEND.
